The Dude - Summer Camp Director

The Dude graduated from the Naval School of Health Sciences in San Diego. He served as a naval medic until 1999 at which point he returned to Northern California where he began working with YMCA Camp Campbell. There he served as a Counselor, Program Specialist, Field Teacher, and a Nurse. In 2001 he worked with the Santa Cruz Outdoor Education Program as a naturalist. In 2002 he found Camp Sempervirens and began his employment there as a teacher. In 2004 he created the Summer Camp program at Sempervirens and has been a part of it since. The Dude has training in teaching, childcare, environmental education, emergency medicine, and life guarding. He loves working outdoors and storytelling.
